lyrics
They bring the ashes, and shout to claim
Upon the altar: sadness, won't have space
They raise a chalice, to drown the pain
A liquid vision coming, to inspire the faith
And hail to the Gods of Death!
Pray to the Gods of Death!
Kneel to the Gods of Death!
Die for the Gods of Death!
A revelation, to all mankind
To pay the cult a tribute: a sacrifice
The tears of a newborn, will set the fate
Offering to the powers of beyond the grave
Looking for the answers
Luring by the powers unknown
Shadows in the mist are
Claiming for a throne of beyond
With chaos as a purpose: the dogma to be free
Like in a dream
The chaos rising in
The wine of fortune, from veins of youth
Shades of oblivion bearing omens of gloom:
The crypt will tremble at the scarlet dawn
The gods will rise almighty as legends told
And hail to the Gods of Death!
Pray to the Gods of Death!
Kneel to the Gods of Death!
Die for the Gods of Death!
Die for the Gods of Death!

If Elric had a soundtrack it would be this. It's everything you want from a epic metal album. Like a hot poker in the eye, but in a good way. Scott Malthouse

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
